Reliefs from the Tomb of Nefermaat and Itet at Meidum
Nefermaat was a relative of Sneferu, and was buried in Mastaba 16 at Meidum. The decoration uses a unique technique - the stone was carved and then filled with inlays of pressed pigment. This would've been very vibrant, but sadly it wasn't long lasting.

From Mastaba 16, Meidum.

Old Kingdom, Dynasty 4, c. 2613-2566 BCE.
