Wooden Statue of a Cat with a Scarab Beetle between Its Ears
This is another object that was on display in the Divine Felines exhibition that was on in Brooklyn Museum when we visited in 2015.

It's a solid wooden cat statue, with a scarab beetle on top of its head, dating to the Ptolemaic or Roman Periods (so quite recent for an Ancient Egyptian object). Given it's solid, it can't be a mummy container so it was probably a temple offering.

The scarab beetle symbolises the morning sun, and the cat might be a representation of Bastet.
