Barque Ornaments

Barque Sphinx (sib), a head of Mut and a head of Amun as a ram. All would be mounted on the prows of portable barques for carrying deities in - Mut on a barque for Mut and Amun on a barque for Amun.

Provenance unknown for any.

Sphinx: Late Period, Dynasty 26, c.664-525 BCE.

Mut: Third Intermediate Period, Kushite Period, c.750-664 BCE.

Amun: Third Intermediate Period, c.1070-664 BCE.
